Like you, we LOVE our pets! We also love working with our community to raise money to eliminate cancer and to support those who are affected by cancer. PAWS 4 A CAUSE is a dog-friendly walk fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2025, beginning at Heritage Park/Capitol Lake, Olympia, WA. The event is not timed.
Net proceeds raised by the Paws 4 A Cause dog walk fundraiser will benefit the American Cancer Society and the Animal Cancer Foundation – both organizations dedicated to finding a cure for cancer! Harlan's Homes 4 Hope Relay for Life team is coordinating this event. Over the past 16 years, our team has raised over $308,000 to help eliminate cancer - we are one of the top fundraising teams in Thurston County. Join us in the fight!
We are coordinating with Event Advisor Lisa Parshley, Veterinarian Oncologist. With your help, we can beat our fundraising record from last year! Our goal this year is to donate $30,000! Interested in joining our fight against cancer? Join our team or volunteer to support the event!
Proceeds donated will equally benefit the Animal Cancer Foundation and the American Cancer Society – both organizations dedicated to finding a cure for cancer.

who you're supporting
In loving memory
Judy Johnson & Talia Jaide Ni Dufaigh
Our team has lost two amazing cancer warriors in recent years. After battling brain cancer and surviving, Judy fought valiantly against lung cancer, bravely undergoing multiple forms of treatment and ultimately losing the fight in mid-October 2020. After surviving cancer since 2007 and lifting others up through it all with her fearless personality, dedication to service, and loving kindness, Jaide ultimately lost her battle to Stage 4 BRCA2 metatastic breast cancer in October 2023. Both Jaide and Judy joined our team a few years ago after attending a survivor luncheon with a team member. Once they joined, they were ALL IN, raising money, joining the survivor lap and supporting their teammates—whether in person or remotely.
Both were lights of hope and amazing friends and teammates. We dedicate our Relay For Life efforts to them.
